Experience

Working with tegan

Weddings are more than a single day..they’re a collection of fleeting moments, quiet emotions, and unforgettable connections. Capturing those moments honestly and beautifully has been my passion for over 14 years.

I’ve been photographing weddings since I was 18, which still feels a little surreal now that I’m 33. I began by working alongside experienced photographers, learning how a wedding day truly unfolds .. not just how it looks, but how it feels. Those early years shaped the way I work today and allowed me to develop a style and approach that’s completely my own.

Since then, I’ve photographed weddings all across the UK and beyond .. from large-scale Jewish celebrations full of energy and tradition, to intimate elopements where every moment feels deeply personal. No matter the size or setting, my focus is always the same: to tell your story in a way that feels natural, meaningful, and timeless.

Over the years, I’ve carefully refined my process to ensure my couples feel supported, relaxed, and completely themselves in front of the camera. From our first conversation to the final delivery, my goal is simple .. for you to feel present on your day, knowing your memories are being captured with care, intention, and heart.

My Approach

how am i any different?

If I had to describe my wedding photography style in just a few words, it would be fun, funky reportage. I shoot with a candid, documentary approach—capturing moments as they naturally unfold and telling the story of your day as it truly happens.

My work is full of life, full of colour, and full of love.

You’ll often hear photographers say they “blend into the background.” While I do this during the ceremony, for the rest of the day I’m very much present—playing with the kids for photos, chatting with your parents and loved ones, and generally helping everyone feel relaxed and at ease.

As a Hampshire wedding photographer, I’m lucky to work at so many beautiful and varied wedding venues across Hampshire and beyond. Every venue has its own feel and vibe, and I always aim to reflect that atmosphere within your wedding photographs, weaving it seamlessly into the story of your day.

My approach to Hampshire wedding photography is unobtrusive and storytelling-led. I document your day exactly as it unfolds—the romantic moments, the funny ones, and even those quieter, emotional moments that make us pause and reflect.

There will be times when you barely notice I’m there, capturing moments discreetly in the background. At other times, I’ll be right in the thick of it—laughing with your guests, playing along, and photographing the energy of the day as it happens.

I’m often told, “It felt like having a friend photograph our wedding.” That I was the extra bridesmaid, the honorary groomswoman, or simply someone everyone felt comfortable around—and that, to me, is exactly how wedding photography in Hampshire should feel.

Weddings are not just about the couple, and marriage is about far more than the wedding day itself. While I always encourage couples to plan their wedding in a way that feels completely true to them, I truly believe that marriage is the joining of two families. It’s a symbolic bond that connects people forever—and my photographs are there to document that connection.

Mothers shed their first tears together. Fathers embrace one another as they welcome a new family member. Friends hold hands, and couples pause to truly appreciate the vows spoken in front of everyone they love.

As a photographer, you know the moment you’ve captured something special—something raw and real. I often find myself smiling behind the lens, quietly appreciating someone else’s happiness or a fleeting moment of fun. Knowing I’ve preserved that moment forever brings me an incredible sense of joy.

I completely understand that weddings involve months of planning and preparation—from invitations and seating plans to cake design and choosing the perfect dress. I believe your photographer should be part of that journey, not just someone who turns up on the day.

I encourage pre-wedding shoots, consultations, Zoom calls, phone calls, emails, and ongoing contact throughout the planning process. Building a genuine relationship with your photographer allows you to feel relaxed, comfortable, and truly yourselves—resulting in a beautifully natural set of photographs on your wedding day.

Weddings may be carefully planned, but they’re rarely predictable. Timelines change, moments unfold unexpectedly, and having a photographer who’s ready for anything—with precision, creativity, and skill—matters. I pride myself on being adaptable and calm, whatever the day brings.

I can discreetly capture candid moments during your ceremony, then later be right in the middle of the dance floor once the drinks are flowing. Guests feel comfortable around me, allowing me to photograph them naturally, laughing and enjoying themselves.

You deserve to relax and fully enjoy your day, confident that every moment is being documented as it happens.
